Stephanie Graham: Art Director
Doughboy, 11x14, 2018. Film Photographic Print
Hello, I'm Stephanie Graham, an art director specializing in bringing characters' worlds to life. With extensive experience in the art department, I also direct, produce, and write my own projects. My passion lies in ensuring authenticity, relatability, and visual allure in every endeavor. Having spent over a decade on set in the television industry, my work spans film, photography, and performances, exploring themes of gender, social class, race, and subcultures. Thriving in collaborative teams, I leverage my expertise in logistics and aesthetics, seamlessly navigating roles that include negotiating with vendors, running film festivals, and serving as both an art director and artist. Did I mention I really love Excel? I am enthusiastic about contributing to compelling narratives and eagerly anticipate the opportunity to connect and discuss potential collaborations. I look forward to connecting with and collaborating with you!
A Little About Me and My Background:
My journey into visual storytelling began in Schaumburg, a suburb in the NW suburbs of Chicago, a haven of big-box chain stores and malls that dominated the landscape. As an only child, I quickly learned the art of creating my own entertainment—whether inventing fantastical worlds in my backyard or negotiating imaginative scenarios on the playground, honing my creativity and social finesse skills.
I later pursued studies in Cinematography and Photography at Columbia College Chicago. Now based on the Southside of Chicago, I find peace in my studio, often surrounded by the lively banter of the Real Housewives in the background. Off set, my time is divided between watching movies and TV, crafting my podcast, "noseyAF," and curating "Graham Cracker Pins," my tiny enamel pin shop. Oh, and you can catch me linking up with friends for Tacos and Red Lobster, and no, I’m not kidding. Go on and make fun of me all you want!
